Mission

We are working to create a Church Planting Movement that will birth an exponential expansion of Great Commission churches that will become the foundation for a biblical, Spirit-filled, Anglican Christianity for the 21st century in North America.

Vision

The Anglican Communion Network will reach out to those without a church home and to believers with the unchanging truth and love of Jesus Christ, teaching them to live as life-long disciples of Jesus Christ, and sending them out to plant new churches locally and worldwide, until the exponential birthing of new congregations becomes normative, expected and self-perpetuating.

Values

The churches we create will be:

Biblical
We will uphold the uniqueness of Jesus Christ, crucified and risen, the only Lord and Savior of the world, and the authority of Scripture, the rule and ultimate standard of faith.
Missionary
We will embody a passion to lead every person in each generation to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, in fulfillment of the Great Commission, globally and locally.
Uniting
We will forge lively strategic partnerships with biblically faithful Christians of other Churches and with Anglicans in other associations in North America to carry on the work of the Gospel as God leads us.
Visionary
We will always seek to follow God's vision for our lives and ministries, believing ourselves to be in a dynamic partnership with God which shapes that vision according to the divine will and purpose.
Prayerful
We will bathe our movement in prayer, seeking to follow the mind of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Serving
We will reach out with the compassion of Jesus to serve those in our communities who are in need: the poor, the broken, the lost and those who are persecuted for the cause of Christ
Team-based
We will live as brothers and sisters who will work together as one Body in Christ, laying down our lives for one another in the face of risk and opposition.
Risk-takers
We will embrace risk as a necessary element in founding new churches and overcome all obstacles to establish God's Kingdom on this earth.

From the Director

The Anglican Communion Network (ACN) is an association of over 900 congregations throughout the United States who are working for a renewal of Anglican Christianity in this country. The Network has identified church planting as one of its five primary ministry initiatives.

As the National Director for Church Planting, I am working to set up regional church planting centers in strategic locations across the country. To support these centers, we are pursuing a strategic plan that focuses on establishing:

  1. a planters network for recruitment, assessment, training and placement of planters
  2. a coaches network for recruitment, training and certification of coaches
  3. a project management system for supervision and assistance of new church plants
  4. a resources base to provide equipment, hardware and software support for church plants through these regional centers

The work is guided by a National Task Force for Church Planting that is composed of Regional Directors across the country and Special Focus Coordinators who bring expertise in specific areas such as fund raising, coaching, strategic planning, etc.

The Network has given birth to 15 new church plants over the last 24 months, including a multi-ethnic urban congregation whose members represent 25 different countries and an Hispanic multi-site congregation with two campuses. In addition to these new congregations, the Network is excited to have over 30 new plants in the planning phases to be birthed in 2007 and 2008 from locations stretching from Maine to Hawaii and Montana to Texas.

We are deeply grateful for all God is doing in our midst. By His grace and the help of strategic partners such as Todd Wilson of Passion 4 Planting, Dr. Bob Logan of CoachNet, Dr. Bob Harrington of Church Coaching Solutions, the Anglican Communion Network is creating an exponential explosion of churches that are “making disciples who make disciples and planting churches that plant churches.”
